Michelle Lenihan New York

Michelle joined Hakluyt in 2021.

Before then, she served over 15 years in the US government, including as acting deputy assistant secretary of defense for African affairs, and in other roles in the US Department of Defense, National Security Council, and Senate. She previously worked for ABC News, and she co-created the first dialysis center in Guyana.

Michelle is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania. The US Secretary of Defense appointed her a member of the Reserve Forces Policy Board in 2022.
