Rupert Huxter has had an accomplished career in both the public and private sectors. He worked as a teacher before joining the British civil service in 1985. During his time in government, he served in the Cabinet Office, in the British Embassy in Paris, and in the Department of Trade and Industry – and was private secretary to Michael Heseltine and Peter Mandelson, two of the most prominent politicians in recent British history. In 2003 Rupert joined Hakluyt, where he became deputy CEO and was instrumental in helping the firm grow its business globally.
