Niva Thiruchelvam London
Niva joined Hakluyt in 2022.
Before then, she spent nearly two decades advising British cabinet ministers, including as director of urgent and emergency care strategy in the British National Health Service. She previously led the UK Treasury’s work on energy and net zero, oversaw £80 billion of public investment in education and skills, and represented the UK in negotiations with the EU on the free movement of people.
Niva is a trustee of the charity Strength and Learning Through Horses, which provides equine-assisted therapy to young people in London.
