Andrew Exum Washington, DC

Andrew joined Hakluyt in 2017 and led our business in Texas before co-establishing our office in Washington, DC in 2021. Today he leads our business in the American South.

Prior to Hakluyt, he served as US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Middle East policy. He has also worked for Boston Consulting Group, and as an officer in the US Army, leading light infantry and special operations units in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Andrew has degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, the American University of Beirut, and King’s College London.
