Gretchen Crosby Sims joins the executive committee of the Chicago Community Trust

Hakluyt is delighted to announce that Gretchen Crosby Sims, who co-leads our office in Chicago, has joined the executive committee of the Chicago Community Trust.

The Trust is a $4.5 billion foundation that seeks to build a stronger local community through philanthropy, by addressing the Chicago region’s greatest needs. Its executive committee, which is composed of leading figures from the corporate and civic worlds, governs the Trust’s use of funds.

Commenting on her appointment, Gretchen said: “Having spent the vast majority of the last 20 years living and working in Chicago, I am honored to have been appointed to the Chicago Community Trust’s executive committee. It is a privilege to be able to contribute to the Trust’s vital work improving the lives of people in this great city”.

Keith Lieberthal, who leads our business across the Americas, said: “Gretchen’s hard work in launching our Chicago office and co-leading our work in the Midwest has seen our business in the region go from strength to strength. I’m delighted that she will also be using her advisory expertise to support the local community, and I am certain that the Trust will benefit greatly from her extensive local network, skills and judgement.”
