James Potts joins board of Bay Area Discovery Museum

Hakluyt is delighted to announce that Jamie Potts, who leads our office in San Francisco, has joined the board of trustees of the Bay Area Discovery Museum.

The museum, located at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge, is dedicated to creating learning experiences and inspiring children through play. As part of its services, it offers school programmes, partnerships and camps designed to enable young people to express their creativity and develop skills for the future. At Bay Area Discovery Museum, Jamie will work with his fellow trustees and the wider team to help the museum attract new visitors and have an even greater impact.

Jamie said: “I’m very grateful for the opportunity to support this wonderful organization and mission. My wife used to visit the museum as a child and it has been a wonderful escape for our kids over the last few years. I look forward to working with my fellow board members, Kelly McKinley and her team to help the museum reach more young people who will benefit from its incredible resources.”

“We’re thrilled that Jamie is joining our board of trustees. He brings fantastic experience and connectivity from his role at Hakluyt, and we’re looking forward to benefiting from his strategic advisory expertise as we pursue our exciting plans for the future.”

Varun Chandra, Hakluyt’s managing partner, added: “I’m delighted that Jamie is joining the board of such an exciting and creative organisation as the Bay Area Discovery Museum. At Hakluyt, we encourage every member of our team to use their skills and experience to help others, and it’s wonderful that Jamie, who has done a brilliant job growing our business on the West Coast, will be supporting the museum as it continues to inspire young minds.”
