Les Fagen joins Hakluyt January 2019

Les Fagen, a senior partner at the international law firm Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton and Garrison and prominent litigation specialist, will be joining the board of Hakluyt in January 2019.

Lord Deighton, Hakluyt’s chairman, commented: “Hakluyt is delighted to welcome Les onto the board as a director and senior adviser to the business. Les is based in New York and North America is a key market for the company. We look forward to Les’s counsel in helping build our business there, and indeed in other parts of the world. Les will also contribute to the development of our flourishing conflict insight business, in which our team works with lawyers and general counsel to help shape strategic decision-making around complex disputes.”

Les Fagen said: “I am thrilled to be joining Hakluyt, and to have the chance to work with partners from a wide variety of backgrounds, including government, industry, finance, strategy consulting and media as well as the law. Hakluyt is growing fast, especially in North America, and I am looking forward to contributing to the company’s further success.”

Les will replace Robert Webb QC, who will step off the board after 12 years of outstanding service to the group. Lord Deighton added: “The board would like to thank Rob Webb wholeheartedly for his major contribution to Hakluyt’s professional development, and wise counsel to successive chairmen, during his time on the board.”
