Varun Chandra appointed trustee of the British Asian Trust July 2021

Varun Chandra, Hakluyt’s managing partner, has been appointed a trustee of the British Asian Trust, a charity that delivers high-quality development programmes in South Asia, with a particular focus on tackling poverty and inequality.

Varun said: “I am delighted to be joining the board of the British Asian Trust. The Trust is a global leader in development innovation at scale, and is fantastically led by Richard Hawkes and Manoj Badale. I am proud to be British and equally proud of my heritage, and I look forward to playing a role in deepening the links between the UK and South Asia.”
